This site sets no cookies

None. Not our own and not third-party. No analytics, no advertising, no personalisation. It does not use local storage or session storageeither, nor any other form of storage in your browser, and there is no device fingerprinting.

That is why you will not see a consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. A notice asking permission for something that does not happen does not inform you, it trains you to click accept.

It is not a promise, it is a consequence of how the site is built, and you can verify it from outside in two minutes:

• Almost no page carries code. This one carries none. Only two things on the site do: the animated background on the home page, and a calculator in one article that does a subtraction with numbers you type in. Neither reads nor writes anything in your browser, and both are served from this same domain. Everything else runs on native HTML: the mobile dropdown menu, for example, has no code at all.
• And that code cannot call any server. The Content-Security-Policy header carries default-src 'none', which allows no outbound connection to be opened. That is the part that matters: with no connection there is no way to send your data anywhere, ours or anyone else's, even if we wanted to.
• It loads not one third-party resource. The typefaces are served from this domain: there is no request to Google Fonts, to a CDN or to an ad network.

Open your browser's developer tools, look at the application or storage tab, and check.

Serving a page leaves technical logs on the server — IP address, user agent, date and resource requested — because it is inherent to how the web works. They are not cookies and they are not used to build a profile of you. The detail is in the privacy policy.

At some point audience measurement will probably be added. When that happens, this page gets rewritten before the first cookie is set, listing each one, its purpose, its duration and who sets it — and a consent manager will appear.

While this page still says what it says, it is because it is still true. The change will be announced in the changelog, with its date.

You do not need to here, but it is worth knowing for the rest of the web: every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings, usually under privacy or security.
